Growing up in Leadville, the central mountains are an important part of Dick's life.  Dick has a BS in Physical Education/History from the University of Colorado where he was a four year member of the NCAA Championship Ski Team.  He has an MS (Western State College) and Ed.D. (University of Colorado) in Educational Administration.  Dick and wife, JoAnne, are both retired educators (Dick 34 years, JoAnne 29 years) with most service with Boulder Valley Schools.

Dick and JoAnne purchased a Mountain Side condo in 1985 and Dick was elected to the Board in 1988.  He has served as Vice-President, Finance and was combined Board President from 1996 to 2000 when they purchased their patio home.  Dick has continued as a member of the Homeowner's Board, currently serving as Corporate Secretary and Director of Structures & Grounds.  He also chairs the Architectural Control Committee.

Dick and JoAnne split their time between Boulder and Frisco which allows ample time for gardening, woodworking, skiing, boating, biking and other outdoor activities.  Two grown children and three grandchildren add to their activities.
