Mountain Side List Server

We have implemented a list server for Mountain Side as a way for owners to communicate with each other via e-mail.

The way a list server works is that you first register your e-mail address on the list server then, once your registration is confirmed, you can send e-mail messages to a special e-mail address and they will be forwarded to everyone else who has registered.

To protect you from receiving unwanted e-mail via this list server, we have implemented the following rules:

  1. Only registered users are allowed to send e-mails to the list.
  2. Only VERIFIED Mountain Side owners are allowed to register on the list.
  3. We NEVER register anyone on the list who has not asked to be registered.
  4. You are not allowed to send commercial solicitations of any kind to the list.  We have a zero tolerance policy.  One strike and you will be removed from the list.

Examples of appropriate uses for the list include:

  1. Polling the owners about some topic of common interest.
  2. Exchanging rental leads and techniques with other owners.
  3. Asking what contractors/suppliers other owners have used for certain kinds of upgrades.
  4. Providing information that may be of general interest to other owners (e.g. We had 3 feet of snow in Frisco last night).

The list is maintained by Sue Anderson, a Mountain Side owner.  To register on the list, simply send an e-mail to Sue at the following address: sueabldr@alum.colby.edu.    Your e-mail must contain your full name and your Mountain Side unit number or street address.

Once your registration has been accepted, you can send e-mails to the list by simply addressing the e-mail to: MtnSide@topica.com.   You must send your e-mails using the e-mail account you used when you registered.   E-mails sent to the list using unregistered e-mail addresses will be rejected.
